After sharing the images taken from a totally virt After sharing the images taken from a totally virtual newborn shoot and getting a pretty wild flurry of messages I'm giving them a little home here, on the grid!

A little about this session:

It was totally virtual, I was cosy in my home with a cuppa and this fam were cosy in theirs (no cuppa but you're welcome to have one on a shoot!)

It was fun, only mildly chaotic ("lift me higher, a bit to the window. Too far! Back a bit..." Etc.) But absolutely worth if if you want some family picture now, in Lockdown.

Perfect for newborn and maternity shoots but I'm totally open for some branding headshots - or just some fun, creative portraits. OMG please someone do a virtual pet shoot with me.

I'm offering them to book, details in the link in my profile. They are phone camera quality. So fine but not mind blowing, definitely no the same as a proper in person shoot (hence the price!). If you're interested or just curious how it works have a read or shoot me a messages ๐Ÿ’•
Just about to bombard you with so many pictures fr Just about to bombard you with so many pictures from this shoot last month's because it's the cutest. The most wonderful home, sweet little babe and totally smitten parents. It's easy to be a family photographer when you get shoots like this!

We're racing through January it seems, yet I feel like I've done nada this month (probably true!) I'm already prepared for someone's big 2nd birthday next month though. Since becoming a mother I feel like I'm excelling at being prepared with things! Must find helium though ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Just a reminder to folks that I am taking bookings for this year, so if you want a Spring shoot I have two weekend dates available in March, April and May โ™ฅ๏ธ If your hesitant at all I'm happy to have a call or DM me. Finally, all pricing and details are linked in my Bio.

I've been working on putting together a special Motherhood Session (mid week and absolutely full of joy!) So I'll be sharing those details soon. Pretty sure they're already on the website though if you're super keen! Have a lovely Thursday. Thursday's generally are pretty great IMO ๐Ÿ™Œ
Morning folks! This picture is nearly a year old โ™ฅ๏ธ This little one nearly a whole year older. What a year to have as your first.

I often get asked what age is best for newborn photography and for a long time I have been meaning to put together a blog with visuals from all different ages. Well guys, I finally did it! You can find it through the link on my profile.

What I love about this natural, genuine, in home approach to family photography is the flexibility around it. I don't need to shoot only within a certain about of time after baby is born. Nor am I constrained to only good weather and sunny days. Learning to embrace the shadows and pockets of light within client homes is a skill I improve on from each shoot. The natural moments with your new babe trumps the need to have photographs taken only in that first fortnight.

What I'm trying to get at here is the flexibility we can have with your newborn images. Of course baby grows and changes, so if you want those early days, you can absolutely have them. But also, if you want to just be in your family bubble a little longer or if one of the many lockdowns have stopped you getting your images - there is still time. There is always time. A week old. Or a month. Or 6 months. It doesn't matter, this is your newborn shoot, so do what you can, when you can ๐Ÿ’•
Hey ๐Ÿ‘‹ And hello day one of lockdown 3 (hopefull Hey ๐Ÿ‘‹ And hello day one of lockdown 3 (hopefully the last one) I just wanna say - it'll get easier. What a total hideous time we're having. My inbox is open to friends and strangers. Sometimes it's easier to chat about worries/stress/rants with someone you don't actually know! I'm here for it โ™ฅ๏ธ

In terms of my business, once again I will not be able to shoot. To all my January and February clients - I'm so sad for us both. I will be emailing you all over the next few days to chat about what to do.

It is a really, really, really hard time. So being totally open, I still want to encourage families and brands to book shoots with me from March onwards. I'm staying optimistic that we can have some more normality around then and I have a flexible schedule for changes as well as a refundable deposit. But knowing I have the support of clients for Spring and Summer and even Autumn and Winter would be incredible. Luckily I do have some family and newborn shoots booked in for March/April and May but still space for more ๐Ÿ™Œ So, I know it's tough at the mo, but if you think this is something you want and can do, I'd love to get your shoot booked in for this year.

Sending virtual hugs to everyone. Reach out to your friends, we need to have each others back. The end is insight ๐Ÿคž
Hello 2021 ๐ŸŽ‰ I'm kick-starting this year with a Hello 2021 ๐ŸŽ‰ I'm kick-starting this year with a lovely testimonial from a recent family session (before Tier 4 came and shut down all my shoots ๐Ÿ™ƒ)

Last year was quite a year. We all know it. But I just wanted to take a mo to be super grateful for all my clients that booked me, that knew they needed to capture this time together. That trusted me to come into their homes (during a pandemic!) and record their families in this strange, strange time. Thank you ๐Ÿ’• I can't wait until things calm down again and I can come back and shoot more families and sweet newborns and crazy toddlers and awkward Dad's ๐Ÿคญ - just kidding, the Dad's are usually pretty into it!

Anyway. 2021. I am all about this. I'm an optimist and I love a clean slate. I know it's not going to instantly be perfect, but I still see the new year as a fresh start in some ways. Full of potential and hope and ambition. So of course I have a ridiculously long lost of things I want to achieve this year. Are you the same? I'd love to hear a few little aims or accomplishments you'd like to see happen in 2021. This poor year has so much pressure on it! ๐Ÿ˜‚

A few of mind include:

Reading. I wanted to finish 24 books. Mostly physical books but I'm gonna try the odd audio book too (I think it'll be a perfect running companion!)

Running. I've really gotten back into running in December. Though I didn't quite manage a run a day due to having to self isolate ๐Ÿ˜ญ I ran every day I was legally allowed too! And I loved it. I'm not a great runner but I'd love to do a 10k this year as a little personal goal.

Shooting. I hope this year is even bigger and better than last year business wise. And last year was pretty incredible. So babies, families, branding - get in touch for a shoot this year (once we can!) It's gonna be a good one!

I have more things on my list (including a house move!) But this caption is far too long already! Happy New Year friends, thanks for all your support, likes, shares, reviews, memes, video calls and messages. You're the best ๐Ÿ’•
This week has been wonderful, slowly winding down This week has been wonderful, slowly winding down for Christmas. Wrapping presents (a job I still love), getting in the impromptu Christmas meal (since we're stuck in London this year - like many others!) and listening to Christmas music (still determined to feel festive!)

It's been a year. A long year. But a year that has some positives. We've stayed in with family. We've spent more time together with those closest to use. We've learned just how special and important our family, friends and health is. We've (hopefully) started working in a way that's better for us - less commuting, less long office hours. I'm hoping we can carry these good things into 2021.

A little moment I captured here from a newborn shoot in the Autumn. Sometimes it's about stepping back and just letting things unfold naturally. This was after the session was over actually and just Mama doing her thing. So obviously I had to whip the camera out and capture it ๐Ÿ’•

50 families.

I've photographed 50 families this year. In a pandemic. It's been an incredible year for me business wise. I've started filling up dates for next year year (January/April/May are going the quickest!) So if you'd like a family shoot in your home next year I'd love to hear from you.
